A perennial wheatgrass that’s making a huge buzz in the sustainable grain scene as — due to deep root structure — it doesn’t require tilling like our typical annual wheat does. This also helps with soil health and ground water quality. If that’s not enough to love, this curiously innovative grain creates a texture rich strands, while imparting a nutty profile, with notes of black tea and molasses.
